FAQ: Barns, Sheds, & Garages
Is this a family owned business?
Yes! Marlin and Merle (brothers) started Carolina Storage Solutions in 2008.
Do you have financing available?
We offer RENT TO OWN on all of our portable garages, storage sheds, horse barns, and gazebos if the product is delivered within the state of North Carolina. Ask for details. We do not offer Rent To Own on chicken coops or dog kennels.
Is a foundation needed for storage sheds and horse barns?
Our sheds and barns are built on top of pressure treated lumber and are designed to sit directly on the ground. We do not provide leveling blocks for Horse Barns, Run-in Sheds or Storage Sheds. We recommend a level gravel pad be in place for Shed Row Barns. Modular Barns require piers or a concrete pad.
Why is a Wood Horse Barn the barn of choice for equestrian owners?
A wood horse barn is sturdier and safer then metal. Serious injury can result from a well-placed kick puncturing a metal sided barn. A wood horse barn will not dent or puncture.
Do the horse barns have a floor?
Stalls do not have floors. The tack room comes standard with a 5/8″ plywood floor. We offer the option to upgrade to a pressure treated wood floor. After the barn is delivered, many people backfill the stall areas with stone dust, sand, or clay, and then lay rubber stall mats on top of that base.
What do most people use inside of stalls?
We recommend a level gravel pad be in place before the barn is delivered. After the barn is delivered, a couple inches of stone, dust, or sand can be laid down with rubber stall mats on top of that. This allows for maximum stall dryness.
If I move, can I take the barn with me?
Yes! Any shed row barn, run-in shed, or storage shed can be moved at any time. Whether you need it moved from pasture to pasture, or state to state, Carolina Storage Solutions provides moving service. Call 877-305-4277 for a free quote.
How are the sheds and barns anchored?
Anchors are not included and are not necessary unless required by the city or county in which you live. If you want your building anchored, we use mobile home anchors and attach them to the barn’s tow hooks. Mobile home anchors are available for an additional cost.
